So,
it’s probably polite to introduce myself and my lovely family.
I’m
Charlie, a forty-something Mum of 2 spirited girls who lives with her gorgeous
family and 2 neurotic cats in West Dorset.
My
life has certainly not been boring. I have an older sister with special needs,
I suffered PND with my first daughter whilst living in France and I lost my Mum
to cancer when my youngest was just 8 months old. My life has been filled with
many ups and downs but I always try to find the silver lining in everything if
at all possible.
I
love writing and this blog is my haven, my space to write about everything from
parenting, PND, and life in general to health, recipes and reviews. I also
write another blog, my Green Lifestyle Blog where I share my other passion for
all things organic, natural, green, eco, fair-trade and creative.
Before having my girls I ran my own practice as a Holistic Therapist for about 8 years offering a range of different treatments. Prior to that, I worked in Marketing & PR.
Hubby
and I have been together for over 20 years. There’s never a dull moment in our
lives. We met whilst studying a HND in Hotel & Catering Mgt and fell head over heels for
each other; he was a 24 year old mature student, I was a sensitive 19 year old.
He’s my soul mate and we've enjoyed many adventures together including living
in Brittany, France for almost 3 years, where we had our first daughter,
Belle.
Belle
is 8 and our little miracle. We never knew if we could have children (having tried
for 3 years before conceiving her), so she is our precious angel. Sensitive,
artistic and a great friend, Belle is our ray of sunshine and enjoys horse
riding and being out in nature.
Tink
is our youngest; feisty, passionate and hilariously funny, she keeps us all on
our toes and is great fun to be with. She is 4 going on 34 ! Lots to say for
herself and adores her elder sister.
As a
family we love outdoor pursuits, family days out, and going off on adventures in
our trusty tin snail (caravan). I love doing craft with the girls, cooking, and
have a passion for health and wellbeing.
I
hope you’ll enjoy what you read here. It’s an eclectic mix of all sorts. So
take a ticket, hop on board and let’s see where this journey takes us !
